In Memory of Marie Campbell

December 2, 1956 -November 24, 2022

The Maryland Association for the Deaf (MDAD) is deeply saddened by the passing of Marie Campbell, our Treasurer. Marie was a very dedicated member of the MDAD family for about four decades, serving as the Pageant Director, then as the Treasurer. She was an ardent supporter of MDAD and was always willing to share her institutional knowledge of MDAD's history and traditions. She was passionate about passing on the MDAD torch to young Deaf Marylanders from all walks of life. Our hearts and prayers go out to her friends, family, and the Deaf community for this tremendous loss. Thank you, Marie Campbell, for your many years of service to MDAD and the Deaf community.

To honor Marie Campbell and her long-time advocacy for deaf youth, the Maryland Association for the Deaf (MDAD) established

a youth scholarship under her name.

Heading: "Marie Ann Campbell Youth Scholarship" ; Subheading: "This is your chance to apply to get the scholarship for your academic needs!" Three youths in various colors and colorful outfits are sitting beside each other and reading books at the top left of the flyer.. The white swirling arrow is pointing to the image of the youths on the right side of the flyer. Under the subheading in the middle says "Scholarship Benefits" The bold white font bullets and words are seen below it: "College expenses, monthly living allowance, and transportation money. Coming Soon! Eligibility and further information will be announced soon. Keep an eye on it on our social media pages!" The background color is fully black.
