ODHH Updates
January 1, 2010 2:25 pm NewsODHH is pleased to be starting 2010 with so many projects in the making. The Office Staff have been busy getting ready for the legislative session both by submitting departmental legislation for review and in planning for our Legislative Awareness Day for Deaf and Hard of Hearing Marylanders Legislative Awareness Day for Deaf and Hard of Hearing. We look forward to seeing you in Annapolis and to the impact your presence will have on the Legislative Session! We are also very pleased with the many changes to our website. These changes represent both the O’Malley-Brown Administration and the Office’s commitment to One Maryland and to Marylanders with hearing loss.
In addition, our outreach to a number of communities that are impacted by hearing loss has resulted in increased relevance for our Office. The Department of Aging, the Veterans Administration and the Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation are just a few of the State agencies that have begun to take advantage of our expertise and knowledge. We look forward to an even more productive year in 2010. As you begin to think about your New Year’s resolutions, be sure to let the staff at ODHH know of the goals and vision you have for ODHH and Maryland.
Wishing you a happy and safe New Year!
